Early breast-cancer detection, through saliva.
Early Detection Nanotechnology markets a non-invasive test for the early detection of breast cancer from a saliva sample. The technology — patented and developed by UASLP together with the University of Texas at San Antonio — uses silver nanoparticles as an early-warning method. Being non-invasive, low-cost and applicable even at collection centers or remotely, it broadens access to detection and complements existing methods.
- Non-invasive test, via saliva.
- Patented technology (UASLP + UT San Antonio).
- High social impact: broadens access to early detection.
- Complements existing methods; can be applied periodically.
